Autism

NPL-2008 is Neuropharm’s program in Autism based on fluoxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) designed to increase serotonin levels in the brain.

It uses fluoxetine in an orally dissolving tablet to treat autism in children and adults.

Fluoxetine is the only compound in the SSRI class which has successfully completed well-controlled clinical trials in autism, as well as other conditions such as childhood depression and obsessive compulsive disorder in children.
