Parents are usually the first to notice unusual behaviors in their child. It may be a refusal from the child to sustain eye contact. Or it could be that they’re slow to reach a certain developmental milestone.

Whatever the experience, caring for a child with autism can be uniquely stressful. Children from the age of one can exhibit signs of autistic behavior, so speak to your healthcare practitioner at the earliest opportunity if you have any concerns.
