- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Anxiety disorder characterised by repeated intrusive thoughts and associated ritualised behaviours intended to alleviate that anxiety.
- ODD or Orphan Drug Designation
The end product of the process by which sponsors of drugs and biologics for rare diseases qualify for the tax credit and marketing exclusivity incentives of the Orphan Drug Act in the US.
- Orphan Drug
A therapeutic compound designated for use in the treatment or management of an orphan or underserved, niche disease area, for which there are few or no approved medicines currently available. The category is recognised by the EMEA as conditions affecting less than 5 in 10,000 of the population, and by the FDA as affecting less than 7.5 in 10,000 of the population.
